It is very frightening to have a heart disease because it normally starts from mild symptoms, and if not taken cared off properly, would result to death. Basically heart disease is an illness that arises from an unhealthy lifestyle. Fortunately this disease has symptoms that can be detected in order to prevent further damage. The symptoms include chest pain and palpitation which is characterized by inconsistent beating of the heart. If you are experiencing palpitations, then there is a high chance of having cardiac arrhythmia. Other symptoms also include lightheadedness, dizziness, syncope or the sudden loss of consciousness, fatigue or sluggishness, and shortness of breath. These are the common signs and symptoms of heart disease. It would better for you to know the risks involve in getting this disease in order to avoid the deadly outcome.

There are different kinds of risk factors that cause heart disease. Genes can be a factor in which a person inherits the disease from his/her parents. Eating fatty foods is also a factor because cholesterol would then build-up, blocking the arteries from which blood flows throughout the body. Without blood, the brain would have no sufficient supply of oxygen and this could lead to stroke, leaving a person paralyze. Smoking also triggers heart disease because of the harmful substance it contains. Age is also a risk factor because when a person gets older, the body also weakens. Stress and lack of physical activity can also contribute to the illness.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to avoid the consequences of having a heart disease. Be physically active and be involved in athletics so that you can be assured of a healthier future for you and your family.
